HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO ATTEND?
NOTHING! The lectures are presented for FREE as a public service for Alaskans. The series is sponsored by the UAF Geophysical Institute

No! Simply show up at the lecture hall early enough to get a good seat.
                 
Graphic: lecture length HOW LONG ARE THE LECTURES?
The lecture presentations are about one hour in length, and incorporate dynamic photos and videos that are enjoyable to all ages. A question and answer period will follow each presentation.
                 
CAN I BRING MY KIDS TO THE LECTURES?
Yes! The Science for Alaska free public lecture series is intended for all ages. However, younger children need to be accompanied by an adult. The presentations involve multimedia elements that interest kids, but are about an hour in length, so keep that in mind when deciding whether your child will enjoy him/herself.

  Graphic: videoconferencing CAN MY ORGANIZATION VIEW THE LECTURES VIA VIDEOCONFERENCE?
Unfortunately, our current lecture venues lack the technology to accommodate videoconferencing. However, we will be producing DVDs of the lectures that will be distributed to public libraries throughout Alaska.

To register, print the form, fill it out, and remit the completed form with payment either physically, or via mail (electronic registration is not yet available due to the special-topics nature of the course).
